Why this company name generator is useful
Naming can feel simple until you need to use that name everywhere: your website, your first social profiles, invoices, and future brand assets. This business name generator is built for founders who want speed without random, black-box outputs. Instead of giving a giant list with no context, it over-generates candidate names internally and then filters, scores, and explains what survives. You get options across descriptive, abstract, invented, metaphor, and compound styles so you can compare tone and positioning side by side.
If you are launching a micro business, startup, or side project, clarity matters. A name should be memorable, pronounceable, and realistically usable online. That is why each suggestion includes practical validation signals such as domain status, trademark risk label, and conflict notes. These checks are informational, not legal advice, but they help you avoid obvious dead ends early. The scoring model also breaks down why one idea ranks above another, which is useful when co-founders disagree or when you need to justify the final choice to a team.
Use this tool to move from vague naming brainstorms to a shortlist you can test in the real world. Then continue refining with your audience, legal adviser, and market feedback. For more founder resources, browse the MicroBiz365 tools hub and our business idea library.
Try it like this (example)
Use Load example input on the form for a full auto-fill, or type something similar yourself:
- Industry / sector: AI bookkeeping (or whatever fits you)
- Product or service: Automated bookkeeping support for UK trades
- B2B / B2C: B2B · Target geography: UK
- Brand traits: trustworthy, efficient, modern
- Naming style: mixed shortlist · Desired length: short
- Words to include: ledger · Words to avoid: cheap
- Domain requirement: .com only · Strictness: trademark-aware
What you get back: each result card shows the suggested name, an overall score, a short explanation, a simple trademark-risk label, a domain status line, and quick notes (for example compound structure or how easy it is to say aloud).
What the checks can and cannot do
Trademark risk in this tool is still a fast in-browser signal only. It is not the same as UKIPO/EUIPO/USPTO clearance or advice from a trademark solicitor.
When MicroBiz365 is pointed at the optional Vercel check service (configured in the page head on deploy), each run can add live .com availability via Whoisfreaks when the server has a key, else RapidAPI if configured, else public RDAP, plus UK Companies House company-name screening when a Companies House API key is set server-side. Those are still screening aids: “available” is not the same as completing a registrar purchase, and Companies House search is not incorporation approval.
Before you register a company name, buy domains, or print branding, confirm availability and conflicts properly. Companies House naming rules and social handle availability should still be checked separately once you have a favourite.
